Something smells awesome - Runewicks' Beginnings

Hi there!

Runewicks is a candle company (for now), but we hope to branch out into many areas including soapmaking, beard upkeep products, and all types of scents-aroma products.

We are a two-person operation, my husband and myself. During the pandemic, I was inspired by one of my favorite candle scents being discontinued by a popular candle company, and I wondered if I could make it myself.

As a lifelong lover of all things scented, I knew I could do it if I put my mind to it, and as it turned out, I could.

That candle scent is still one of my favorites, and I'll be releasing it with a few tweaks this winter.

And as far as those charms on top of the candles? My husband makes those. He is a very skilled clay sculptor, and it was fortune itself that both of our hobbies aligned into something awesome. He sculpts them from clay, seals the clay, and makes a silicone mold from the clay master. After that, it's a matter of pouring wax and demolding just right.

I really hope you like both the look AND the smell of our candles, because both attributes have been extensively tested and perfected.

I hope this tiny look into our beginnings was interesting for you, and I also hope to perhaps garner more interest in the times to come. I plan on posting not only about new upcoming products, but also about tips for candle longevity, safety, and some DIY stuff as well.
